About the Role

Pattern Energy is seeking an experienced Associate to support Strategic Finance and business planning activities. The Associate will lead financial analysis and ongoing maintenance of the Company Corporate Model, providing strategic and analytical support for business development, corporate strategy, valuation, capital allocation, and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Pattern projects, business model, and corporate model to accurately perform financial analyses and inform business decisions.
  • Conduct Corporate Model Review and Financial Analysis, including valuation, capital strategy, and liquidity.
  • Manage Reporting, Process, and Deliverable Integration.
  • Provide Corporate Finance Compliance, Rating Agency, and Investor Relations support.
  • Support Corporate Finance/Strategic Transactions as needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to corporate finance and other finance functions.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of project or corporate finance transactional experience within a financial firm or energy operating company.
  • 3-5 years of business reporting, portfolio underwriting, or corporate valuation work.
  • Transactional or internal experience with corporate valuations and a solid foundation of structured finance and the renewable energy space.
  • Transactional lead experience in project finance and/or capital markets (first lien debt, tax equity, revolvers, mezzanine capital).
  • Advanced spreadsheet and modeling experience with advanced knowledge of valuing and financing renewable investments.

  • Strong analytic and strategic mindset with a self-starter attitude and ability to anticipate.
  • Excellent at synthesizing data and complex concepts into informed recommendations and concise presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to meet deadlines and drive results towards common corporate goals.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and effectively manage time and resources.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of relevant financial modelling techniques.
  • Ability to work in either a collaborative environment or take on individual projects.
  • High degree of professionalism and tact in dealing with internal and external business partners.
  • Highly adept at Excel financial modeling.
  • Analytic and visualization tool experience a plus (e.g., Alteryx, PowerBI).

  • $111,000 - $135,000 USD
