About the Role
HSB is seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster in downtown Toronto. The ideal candidate is client-focused, self-driven, and uses technical expertise to promptly and helpfully resolve equipment breakdown claims. This role involves acting as a key HSB liaison to strengthen claims capabilities and client experiences.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle claims handling, from First Notice of Loss to final settlement and payment.
- Advise the insured on claims-related issues, providing prompt service and quality.
- Appoint and lead experts to support claim investigations.
- Negotiate settlements and resolve claims.
- Interact with insureds and client companies to provide advice and guidance for effective claim resolution.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial property or equipment breakdown claims.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, combined with excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims management databases.
Skills
- Technical credentials and/or a strong understanding of equipment breakdown are considered an asset
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is a valuable asset.

- $89000 - $104000 per year
