About the Role

Leads, directs, and coordinates the work of subcontractors and/or trade labor. Responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget. Supervises Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and makes decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels.
  • Oversees work among assigned trades to promote coordinated project operations.
  • Resolves local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, labor and equipment, schedule, and other matters.
  • Manages the site safety program and ensures subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
  • Supervises and develops Field Engineers and/or interns, providing input on performance appraisals.
  • Creates schedules, determines work sequencing, and develops recovery strategies.
  • Communicates with owners and architects/engineers regarding field issues and investigates/resolves them.
  • Manages the billing process for work-in-place.
  • Oversees monthly estimates of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of all contracts, subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, labor agreements, and local codes.
  • Manages work to ensure installation compliance with approved contract documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of two years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, climb ladders, and negotiate construction areas.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
