About the Role

The Marketing Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution, optimization, and ongoing improvement of digital marketing operations, including paid advertising, marketing automation, website operations, analytics, and reporting. This role supports the effective use of marketing technology, maintains digital marketing processes, and leverages data-driven insights to improve campaign performance, audience engagement, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day execution, monitoring, and optimization of paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Eventbrite Ads.
  • Set up, monitor, and optimize paid campaigns, including campaign structure, audience targeting, budgets, and tracking parameters.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and advertising platform insights.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of conversion tracking, attribution tracking, campaign tagging, and audience segmentation.
  • Monitor paid media performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve return on investment.
  • Prepare performance reports and dashboards highlighting campaign results, key metrics, and insights.
  • Support the planning, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain and support marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or equivalent).
  • Assist with building, maintaining, and optimizing automation workflows.
  • Support audience segmentation, A/B testing, performance tracking, and reporting for email marketing.
  • Support the ongoing management, maintenance, and optimization of marketing technology platforms and tools.
  • Maintain and improve marketing workflows, processes, and automation solutions.
  • Support the collection, organization, and management of marketing data through CRM platforms, automation tools, and reporting systems.
  • Maintain and optimize content management systems (Squarespace, WordPress, Drupal, or similar).
  • Monitor website performance, support website enhancements, and assist with implementing improvements.
  • Support the evaluation and adoption of new marketing tools and technologies.
  • Leverage AI-powered marketing tools to support automation, campaign optimization, analytics, and audience engagement.
  • Support the implementation of strategies to improve brand visibility and digital discoverability through SEO, AEO, GEO, and other emerging search optimization opportunities.
  • Provide operational support for marketing campaigns and projects from planning through execution.
  • Support program marketing operations by maintaining workflows, systems, processes, and tools.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to support integrated marketing activities.
  • Provide operational and technical support for digital assets, marketing materials, and campaign deliverables.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, documentation, processes, and project tracking systems.
  • Support the team for program marketing initiatives, projects, and events.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports to monitor marketing KPIs, campaign performance, and website performance.
  • Assist with implementing tracking processes, data management practices, and reporting frameworks.
  • Analyze campaign, website, and audience performance data to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Support conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts across websites, landing pages, email campaigns, and paid advertising.
  • Assist with A/B testing, user behaviour analysis, and customer journey insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing initiatives, campaign execution, and operational processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on marketing tools, campaign processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Work with program and operational teams to ensure marketing systems and processes support effective program delivery.
  • Support knowledge sharing and documentation of marketing processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Support marketing activities in alignment with data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CASL, CCPA, and organizational policies.
  • Assist with maintaining consent management processes, opt-in mechanisms, and accurate audience data.
  • Follow best practices for secure handling, organization, and management of marketing data, digital assets, and marketing technology platforms.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years demonstrated experience supporting digital marketing operations, paid advertising campaigns, marketing automation, and digital workflows.
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimizing paid campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and similar platforms.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or equivalent) and CRM systems.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining and using analytics and reporting tools, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and dashboard/reporting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of campaign tracking, conversion measurement, audience segmentation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience supporting website operations through content management systems such as Squarespace, WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO/AEO/GEO, website performance optimization, user experience principles, and digital accessibility.
  • Experience using AI-powered marketing tools to support automation, personalization, and campaign optimization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel for data tracking and reporting, Power Automate for workflow automation, and Power BI for data visualization and insights.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple marketing priorities and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn, manage, and optimize digital marketing tools and emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit, workforce development, newcomer, or community services sector, and inclusive marketing practices (good-to-have).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communities.
