About the Role
Langan is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager specializing in Power Generation and Transmission projects to join its team in Houston, Dallas, or Austin, Texas. This role is key to identifying and managing environmental/engineering projects and proposals, conducting research and analysis, and supervising field investigations. You will manage diverse projects, solve environmental restoration challenges, and contribute to the company's growth in the environmental market.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex analyses for power generation and transmission projects.
- Identify and pursue new clients, develop additional work, and attend business development meetings.
- Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff, including coaching, training, and hiring.
- Supervise field activities, ensure correct interpretation of findings, and oversee data collection and laboratory analysis.
- Manage multiple projects within budget, schedule, and deadlines, including preparing progress reports, change orders, invoices, and assisting with collections.
- Organize, write, and edit reports, proposals, and other documents.
- Coordinate with other work groups across different locations and disciplines.
- Interface professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of successful, local, and related environmental engineering experience with a concentration in power generation projects.
- 10+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects.
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) required.
- Strong people, project, and client management skills.
- Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software.
- Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
