About the Role

SB Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead medium-to-large construction capital projects, including Data Centers. This on-site role requires autonomy in areas such as RFP development, budgeting, pre-bid planning, design phases, customer engagement, contractor coordination, and construction oversight. The position involves managing project scope, safety, schedule, stakeholders, and budget, from concept through closeout, and translating job requirements into execution with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with design team, contractors, operations teams and clients.
Submit monthly project financial reporting including forecasting, cash-flow, etc.
Review monthly contractor billing and perform job walks to substantiate progress.
Develop, lead, maintain, and assist with contract negotiation of new and existing vendors.
Lead input and delivery of work products from internal team members to ensure new data center spaces align with project requirements, customer requirements, engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications.
Develop, document, and drive lessons learned, process improvements, cost, and schedule savings initiatives throughout the project lifecycle process.
Work closely with Operations to coordinate design criteria with budgetary issues and ongoing maintenance and operation of existing facilities.
Perform and/or supervise weekly safety walks to ensure contractors are following SB Energy EHS policies.
Maintain awareness of the importance of mission-critical facility operation.
Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in leading construction projects of increasing complexity required, 7-10 years preferred.
Minimum 5 years of hyperscale or colocation-provider data center experience.
Multi-prime or alternate procurement delivery experience is preferred.
Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a requirement.

Salary/Compensations

$140,000 - $170,000
Total compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus, equity grants.
