About the Role
We are seeking a Regional Research Assistant (RA) to support clinical research studies across our Etobicoke, Brampton, and Manna Toronto sites, with Etobicoke as the primary location. You will collaborate with Investigators, CRCs, and site teams to ensure studies are conducted smoothly, safely, and in compliance with protocols and regulations. This role involves phlebotomy, participant follow-up, chart and data-query reviews, data entry, sample processing, and documentation. Site assignments will be planned with advance notice. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Conduct study activities in compliance with GCP, SOPs, and protocols.
- Monitor participant safety and perform scheduled visits and assessments.
- Support recruitment efforts, screen participants, and obtain informed consent.
- Perform phlebotomy and blood collection.
- Support participant follow-up visits and complete delegated tasks such as sample collection/shipping and point-of-care testing.
- Complete chart reviews and resolve data queries.
- Maintain accurate source documents, CRFs, and CTMS records.
- Report adverse events promptly.
- Support investigational product inventory and storage compliance.
- Support operations across Etobicoke, Brampton, and Manna Toronto.
- Prepare for monitoring visits and audits.
- Maintain ISF.
- Organize exam rooms and labs.
- Assist with scheduling, participant check-in/out, data entry, and outreach.
Requirements
- Have a degree in a health, science, or research-related field, or equivalent relevant experience supported by basic health and medical knowledge.
- Have phlebotomy training and demonstrated experience independently performing blood draws in a clinical, laboratory, or research setting.
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and have reliable transportation.
- Have experience in clinical research, healthcare, patient testing, or another relevant patient-facing environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with participants, colleagues, and external partners.
- Are tech-savvy and comfortable navigating Microsoft Office, clinical data systems, chart reviews, and data-query workflows.
- Thrive in a team environment while also working independently, staying organized, and adapting to changing priorities across multiple sites.
