About the Role
The Automation Project Engineer performs technical and project management duties under supervision, identifying project requirements and performing independent technical work on basic tasks within their discipline. They provide guidance to the design team.
Responsibilities
- Develops advanced systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision, offering solutions to general technical problems.
- Works with senior project designers/engineers to prepare project deliverables per client intent and scope of work.
- Follows the quality management process and reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC.
- Assists or acts as project manager by creating plans to complete tasks within project timeline and budget, and identifying required precursors from other disciplines.
- Advises clients of company’s service offerings.
- Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
- Identifies and reports potential roadblocks and competing priorities that may inhibit project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develops understanding of company’s accounting and project management systems.
- Participates in the engineering/professional community for knowledge and professional growth.
