About the Role
Small Door offers membership-based veterinary care designed with human standards for pets, pet parents, and veterinarians. Our membership includes exceptional care, 24/7 telemedicine, and transparent pricing in modern, stress-free spaces. We are expanding across the East Coast and are committed to a healthy work/life balance and a positive work culture.
Responsibilities
- Recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
- Assess patients.
- Record vitals and assist doctors with diagnostics.
- Complete treatments as instructed by the doctor.
- Provide basic husbandry and nursing care.
- Monitor changes in patients and provide compassionate care.
- Assist in and facilitate radiography capture.
- Prepare samples for outside reference labs.
- Run in-house labs.
- Prepare medications.
- Administer medications.
- Work tele-triage shifts (additional stipend).
- Maintain a hospitable environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday or Sunday).
- Comfortable with computers and online tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- A thoughtful and fearless team player.
- A go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled at communicating with clients.
- Passionate about pets.
