About the Role

The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the program in accordance with regulatory, contractual requirements and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitors program effectiveness to ensure goals and targets are achieved.
• Manages multi-disciplinary teams and ensures integration of service delivery to families.
• Ensures program staff implement procedures and policies for quality service provision.
• Collaborates in the development of annual operating budgets and reviews monthly expense reports.
• Ensures program expenditures are within budgeted parameters.
• Ensures timely submission of billing reports and collaboration with the fiscal department on inquiries and corrections.
• Reviews and approves purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures.
• Collaborates in ensuring facilities operate in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborates in ensuring the program meets a 95% occupancy rate.
• Monitors unit work orders and complaints, ensuring timely responses from operations teams.
• Monitors and analyzes reports and dashboards to ensure annual program goals are met.
• Monitors DHS performance metrics and collaborates on strategies to meet them.
• Leads the implementation of continuous quality improvement activities.
• Develops systems, processes, and tools to meet or exceed governmental/funder standards.
• Conducts program audits to ensure compliance with organizational and government/funder standards.
• Collaborates in analyzing audit findings and establishing measures to improve service delivery and address deficiencies.
• Leads or participates in CQI projects and committees.
• Submits quality and timely reports to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Hires, trains, coaches, and supports direct reports, providing ongoing performance feedback.
• Ensures staff receive required trainings for optimal performance and service delivery.
• Collaborates with Human Resources in addressing staff performance issues.
• Promotes collaboration and effective communication among staff and between departments.
• Establishes liaisons with community agencies for needed services for families.
• Participates in local community meetings and serves as a liaison.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college/university.
• NYS licensure (LCSW or LMSW) required.
• Minimum of four years human services experience.
• At least two years of managerial and supervisory experience with demonstrated professional progression.
• Experience with multi-problem families and/or individuals is desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
• May be required to work long hours and a varied schedule.
• Requires traveling throughout various locations in the New York City area.
• Requires lifting and moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds several times a week.
