About the Role

The Bartender is responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests during events at Madison Square Garden in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Create a welcoming environment for guests.
• Assist in day-to-day Food & Beverage operations during events.
• Maintain food, beverage, and cleanliness of the bar area.
• Perform heavy lifting due to stocking of work areas.
• Walk and stand during the entire shift.
• Check identification to ensure authenticity and legal drinking age.
• Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Engage with guests, make recommendations, take drink orders, and complete transactions.
• Provide exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members.
• Adhere to appearance and presentation guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience.
• Commitment to high-quality customer service.
• Ability to handle a high-volume environment.
• Food & Beverage product knowledge.
• Experience using POS systems.
• Positive attitude and good teamwork ethic.
• Ability to walk and stand during the entire shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, split days off, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in an environment with loud noises and ever-changing visuals.
• Ability to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs while carrying equipment or supplies.
• Ability to maintain certification in T.E.A.M alcohol management training.
