About the Role

This role serves as the CEO's closest partner and the first Business Operations hire, owning a set of commercial functions and tackling urgent, ambiguous, high-stakes problems. The position is for a generalist who desires broad scope and is focused on owning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial engine, end to end, including customer contracts, MSAs, legal processes, negotiation, and redlines to signature.
  • Drive enterprise deals forward by managing executive touch points.
  • Build the operating and reporting infrastructure from scratch, including key operating metrics, revenue operations, and GTM reporting.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategy, including analysis, structure, and reasoning for company charges.
  • Take whole problems off the CEO's plate and deliver finished solutions, including board materials, investor updates, and operating cadence.
  • Manage follow-through on decisions and partner relationships.
  • Undertake special projects that currently lack an owner.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
  • Business operations experience at a startup.
  • Strong commercial instincts and ability to hold their own in negotiations with enterprise legal teams.
  • Clear, direct communication skills, capable of explaining data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • High agency; proactively identifies and fixes problems without waiting for defined scope.
  • Comfort working closely with a founder and solving half-articulated problems.
  • Technical curiosity and a desire to understand how AI products function.
