About the Role

As a Fostering Ambassador & Enquiry Officer, you will work in the Fostering Team responding directly to enquiries from prospective foster carers and sharing your own experience as a Foster Carer to guide them through the process. You will support the implementation of the vision for West London, delivering an increased number of fostering households through a targeted and joined up approach in line with the National Fostering Minimum Standards and the Fostering Service Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Share personal experience as a Foster Carer to guide prospective carers.
  • Support the implementation of the vision for West London.
  • Deliver an increased number of fostering households through a targeted and joined up approach.

About the Company

  • The London Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, Brent, Hillingdon, Harrow, Hounslow, and Ealing have created a joint fostering recruitment service: Foster with West London (FwWL).
  • Our vision is to have more children we care for living in West London with high-quality, supported foster carers, delivering improved long-term outcomes for children.
  • We want to ensure that West London attracts suitable Foster Carers who can provide the highest standard of care to children in care in West London, with the Hub working to increase and enhance placement choice locally.
  • Foster with West London leads on the recruitment and assessment of foster carers on behalf of eight Local Authorities.
  • The fostering recruitment hub (FwWL) is part of a Department for Education funded fostering recruitment and retention programme, operational since May 2024.
