About the Role

Within the Strategy & Value Creation team, this role focuses on pricing strategy, serving various sectors and clients. The practice uses data and analytics to optimize pricing and revenue, aiming for sustainable margin improvements. The team comprises committed individuals passionate about client work, complex data problems, skill development, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workstreams and mid-sized projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
  • Understand client requirements and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Synthesize research and data, identifying key areas and guiding junior team members.
  • Assess client data landscapes and direct teams to appropriate data sources for analysis.
  • Assist clients in developing growth strategies by analyzing markets, customers, and propositions.
  • Formulate initial hypotheses and analysis plans based on experience and project scope.
  • Manage project pace and delivery, including stakeholder coordination and upward management.
  • Report key findings to clients.
  • Oversee teams and ensure analytical work for multiple workstreams is completed efficiently and to standard.
  • Design and coordinate deliverables across workstreams, identifying key insights.
  • Communicate views and insights effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Anticipate and address potential client questions and challenges.
  • Support business development activities for senior leadership.
  • Coach and develop team members, providing constructive feedback.
  • Identify, design, and lead practice development initiatives.
  • Proactively develop thought leadership and lead practice development initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in strategy or analytics, gained in corporate, boutique, or consultancy roles.
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills with numerical capabilities and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to deliver practical and insightful recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Substantial experience in pricing strategy, setting, and implementation for high-impact projects.
  • Experience using economic modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Python, SQL).
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques and practical application for commercial problem-solving.
  • Experience developing pitches and proposals, demonstrating commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement beyond project work.
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams to achieve results.
  • A first-class or 2.1 degree from a leading institution in quantitative/analytical studies (e.g., economics, maths, statistics, engineering) is a plus.
