About the Role

Five Below is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to contribute to shortage reduction and investigations. This role involves ensuring employees follow policies, maintaining the employee entrance, conducting security checks, and performing floor presence to prevent loss.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure all employees follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain the employee entrance, where applicable.
• Keep track of all packages delivered through the employee entrance, excluding normal scheduled shipments.
• Conduct store physical security checks and make recommendations for loss prevention.
• Perform floor presence and move throughout the store.
• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit through courteous and professional interaction with customers.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail Loss Prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Ability to work nights and weekends appropriately to retail business needs.
• Ability to stand/walk the sales floor for 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift and carry 20lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.
