About the Role
The Staten Island Justice Center (SIJC) seeks to re-engineer the experience of criminal court in Staten Island, New York, by providing judges and attorneys meaningful alternatives to bail, fines, and jail sentences. This role supervises Case Managers and Senior Case Managers to ensure fidelity to the program model and quality service delivery to participants.
Responsibilities
- Provide substantive and consistent clinically-informed task supervision to Case Managers and Senior Case Managers.
- Ensure staff complete program-specific training and consistently apply policy, protocol, and best practices.
- Oversee routine and accurate data entry and court reporting.
- Communicate effectively across SRP teams to ensure program successes and address challenges.
- Complete comprehensive and routine case audits in partnership with the compliance team.
- Support de-escalation efforts for participants presenting with acute needs.
- Monitor team compliance with program requirements and court reporting obligations.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and compliance reporting.
- Convene Case Managers and Senior Case Managers in response to deviations from the program model or other unfilled responsibilities.
- Support policy and protocol implementation in collaboration with site leadership and the SRP Court Reform team.
- Maintain effective collaboration with direct practice leadership to ensure comprehensive and aligned service delivery.
- Use therapeutically-informed tools such as motivational interviewing, active listening, and thoughtful modeling.
- Promote professional growth and development opportunities for staff.
- Provide de-escalation support aligned with training, policy, and protocol, as needed.
- Support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training for new case management staff.
- Ensure SRP staff are consistently trained as required.
- Ensure regular and equitable access to program-related external professional development and training opportunities for direct reports.
- Participate in individual, group supervision, and regular staff trainings.
- Temporarily take on cases as needed.
- Perform additional relevant tasks as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 4 years direct practice experience (e.g., therapeutic or case management) required.
- Experience in pretrial, court-based, or criminal legal system strongly preferred.
- Therapeutic intervention training and experience preferred, including crisis intervention or de-escalation management.
- Supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated clinical acumen and experience preferred.
- Masters degree and license in a mental health field valued but not required.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment.

Salary/Compensations
- $64,800 - $76,700
