About the Role
As a founding Customer Success Engineer (CSE), you will help establish a new function at Sonar, acting as a proactive technical advisor for a portfolio of customers. This strategic role focuses on customer health, maturity, and growth, leveraging AI to identify risks and opportunities, and redefining customer success.
Responsibilities
- Own a customer portfolio, serving as the trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey (onboarding, adoption, health, value realization).
- Act on AI-surfaced signals to address risks and opportunities, accelerating growth and mitigating potential issues.
- Lead maturity assessments and outcome reviews to enhance customer development practices and demonstrate platform impact.
- Translate customer business priorities into clear technical plans to maximize platform value.
- Provide qualified expansion signals and renewal insights to the Sales team for seamless handoffs and shared success.
Requirements
- Bring hands-on experience in DevOps, software engineering, or platform roles, including CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and code quality/security integration.
- Possess a business acumen to understand the implications of AI-flagged risks or opportunities for customer businesses.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly and assertively to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate analytical skills to identify patterns, connect data sources, and formulate actionable recommendations.
- Exhibit founding-team energy, taking ownership, acting proactively, and maintaining composure in evolving environments.
- Be fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is desirable.
- Be energetic, coachable, and resilient with integrity and a collaborative mindset.
- Candidates must be genuinely based in the role's location or willing to relocate.
