About the Role
This position is a core function within the Man Group Systematic team as a Client Portfolio Manager. The role involves providing specialist knowledge of Man Group’s Systematic strategies, driving product innovation, and engaging closely with clients. The successful applicant should have a passion for markets, quantitative strategies, and a desire to communicate and innovate, working collaboratively with both external clients and internal business partners.
Responsibilities
- Articulate complex systematic concepts in an engaging manner.
- Assume overall responsibility for innovative projects including planning, organizing timelines, and project deliverables.
- Represent Systematics’ investment strategies with investors.
- Perform quantitative & qualitative analysis to answer technical questions posed by clients and internal parties.
- Interact with internal stakeholders including research, marketing, and sales.
- Analyze proposal requirements with sales and other appropriate stakeholders, and review provided documentation to identify prospect/client key objectives.
Requirements
- Strong academic record with substantial mathematical, statistical, or computing components preferred (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics etc).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in systematic investment strategies is preferred.
- Background in quantitative techniques and investment strategies preferred.
- Proficiency in computer programming (e.g., Python, Matlab, R) is desirable.
- Strong reasoning ability to understand and explain quantitative investment strategies.
- Highly detail-oriented with the capacity to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, minimally supervised environment.
- Ability to multi-task and produce quality work under tight time constraints.
