About the Role
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Soho House supports all aspects of the business, overseeing service standards, operational efficiency, member/guest experience, staff retention, and profitability. The AGM acts as a brand ambassador, embracing the company ethos and ensuring an exceptional experience through staff, food, drink, events, and amenities.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic business partner and influential leader, assessing business objectives and delivering an elevated, approachable, and profitable experience.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to assess and develop operational goals based on performance reviews.
- Execute action plans on time and within budget to improve business operations, optimize profit, and promote exceptional experiences.
- Adhere to company policies for food safety, allergy procedures, and maintaining a safe environment, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Partner with Head Office business functions to drive processes and implement innovative opportunities that increase sales and retention.
- Provide leadership to support, guide, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and systems to improve business operations, service, and experiences.
- Offer leadership relative to annual marketing plans and partnerships with other leaders in Membership, Marketing, Food & Drink, and Finance.
Requirements
- At least 7-10+ years of experience managing high-volume Food and Beverage (F&B) operations.
- Understanding, maintenance, and enforcement of local and government-regulated food safety, risk prevention, fire prevention, and emergency procedures.
- Assisting with interviewing new hires and adhering to P&D policies.
- Monitoring, assessing, reporting, and developing action items to support service trends and guest/member/staff surveys.
- Experience managing F&B operations with a focus on service and high-quality food and drink experiences.
- Strong business aptitude, driven by results and guest satisfaction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to make periodical fast-paced movements.
- Must be able to move, pull, push, carry, or lift at least 30 pounds.
- Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb.
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
