About the Role

The Revenue Accounting Analyst supports accurate, timely, and insightful revenue reporting across THB’s healthcare and technology-enabled services. This role sits at the intersection of accounting, analytics, and operations, ensuring revenue is recorded correctly, explaining performance drivers, improving data quality, and making processes more scalable. This is a strong opportunity for an analyst who enjoys both the details and the bigger picture, working with various departments to support monthly close, revenue forecasting, audit readiness, contract and billing analysis, and finance process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and reconcile revenue-related schedules, invoices, deferred revenue, accounts receivable activity, and general ledger balances.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including researching variances and preparing clear supporting documentation.
  • Review customer agreements, billing terms, and transaction data to identify issues that may affect revenue treatment, billing, or reporting; escalate technical accounting questions appropriately.
  • Support the application of GAAP and ASC 606 principles under established company policies and procedures.
  • Perform invoice-to-contract, invoice-to-ledger, and subledger-to-general-ledger tie-outs; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain organized, audit-ready workpapers and documentation for recurring close and revenue processes.
  • Produce recurring revenue reporting and dashboards that help Finance and business leaders understand performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, prior periods, and operational drivers; explain material variances in a concise, decision-useful format.
  • Monitor revenue-related KPIs such as billings, collections, deferred revenue, contract activity, renewal activity, revenue leakage indicators, and days-to-close, as applicable to the business.
  • Partner with FP&A and operational stakeholders to provide accurate revenue inputs for forecasts, budgets, business reviews, and management reporting.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions, validate assumptions, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify recurring data, billing, or workflow issues; quantify their impact and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Help maintain internal controls, standard operating procedures, data definitions, and process documentation for revenue activities.
  • Improve recurring processes through better templates, reconciliations, automation, reporting logic, and quality checks.
  • Participate in testing and implementation of ERP, billing, reporting, or workflow enhancements.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools and automation thoughtfully to improve efficiency while protecting confidential financial and customer information.
  • Own or co-own finance projects from scope through completion, including defining deliverables, tracking milestones, managing dependencies, documenting decisions, and communicating status.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Legal, FP&A, Accounting, and external partners to resolve revenue-related questions and keep deliverables moving.
  • Build productive working relationships by setting clear expectations, following up consistently, and escalating risks early.
  • Support external and internal audit requests by gathering evidence, explaining processes, and following items through resolution.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting concepts, including accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, conditional logic, data cleanup, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to reconcile data, investigate variances, identify root causes, and communicate conclusions clearly.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • High standards for accuracy, confidentiality, documentation, and internal control discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Analytics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Two or more years of experience in accounting, revenue accounting, financial analysis, audit, or a related finance role.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Experience applying or supporting ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or another ERP/accounting system.
  • Experience with revenue reporting, billing operations, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, contract analysis, or close management.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or another reporting/analytics tool.
  • Experience managing a cross-functional project, system enhancement, automation effort, or process redesign.
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, insurtech, SaaS, technology-enabled services, or another business with complex contracts and multiple revenue streams.
  • CPA, CPA-track status, or progress toward another relevant certification.
  • Familiarity with approved AI or automation tools used to improve finance workflows.
  • Ability to work at a computer and use standard office productivity tools for the duration of the workday.
