About the Role

Provide mechanical engineering support for the Plant’s production processes, focusing on cost reduction, preventive maintenance, documentation, training, troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical projects, including developing timelines, controlling spending, managing resources, capital requests, training, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support projects, including capital projects.
  • Develop, acquire, and oversee the operation of new and existing equipment.
  • Analyze malfunctions, improve equipment reliability, and direct Engineering and Maintenance associates during installation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide safe and effective machine designs and associated documentation.
  • Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering required (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • Excellent data management and spreadsheet skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and skill using AutoCAD Mechanical and Solid Works applications.
  • Ability to effectively self-direct and prioritize process/project needs.
  • Demonstrate and live Instant Brands Values and Behaviors.
  • Experience in a 24/7 union manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Experience with vendor management and capital project finances.
  • Highly organized and capable of operating in a demanding environment.
  • Strong leadership skills while working with peers at all levels.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented.
  • Ability to be a change agent in a fast-paced organization.
  • Results focused with a commitment and desire to make an impact.
  • Union experience highly desired.
