About the Role
Engage in manufacturing processes including painting, silk screening, plating, assembly, machine operation, hazardous material handling, inventory management, and tow motor operation within a manufacturing area setting.
Responsibilities
- Stage product for painting by reading work orders.
- Prepare product for painting, including cleaning and masking.
- Prepare paint for use in the booth and spray guns.
- Clean machines and work area using cleaning fluids.
- Apply paint to various parts and components.
- Operate paint booths and hand-held paint spray guns.
- Observe paint results for quality and make acceptability decisions.
- Troubleshoot appearance issues.
- Control temperature, operate, and clean paint equipment, and adjust paint viscosity.
- Clean and maintain paint booths.
- Dispose of hazardous waste properly.
- Service and check chemical levels.
- Prepare stencils for silk screening.
- Mix and load screen ink.
- Print final designs using silk screening.
- Clean and maintain printing machines.
- Troubleshoot silk screening errors.
- Dry final printed articles.
- Perform chemical coating of metal products using plating processes.
- Set up and operate plating equipment.
- Maintain plating lines and monitor the plating process.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Assemble component parts following blueprints or schematics.
- Verify correct quantities of parts and check completed items for quality.
- Manage parts inventory.
- Use hand tools and mechanical equipment for assembly.
- Operate machinery such as brakes, presses, shears, and CNCs.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery.
- Follow safety regulations and guidelines during machine operation.
- Operate mechanical or computer-operated equipment.
- Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments or tool changes.
- Store, move, and manage hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of materials and supplies.
- Restock items as necessary.
- Operate power forklift truck or hand truck to move materials.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Practice good housekeeping, including 5S.
- Meet and exceed inventory accuracy requirements.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Meet on-time delivery requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in a related environment.
- Physically mobile, able to lift, twist, stand, and bend.
- Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work independently.
