About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and proven CAR / Construction Liability Adjuster to join our Construction & Engineering team. The role will involve handling claims predominantly in the UK, with the likelihood of involvement in international construction losses. Reporting to the Head of Construction & Engineering, you will be responsible for handling a broad portfolio of CAR / EAR / Construction Liability and other claims, from investigation to settlement, ensuring company standards are met.

Responsibilities

Investigating, negotiating and agreeing settlement of claims in a professional manner
Liaising with insured, other interested parties, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims
Completing on site investigations and damage surveys for claims
Producing reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines in accordance with agreed timescales
Actively contribute towards McLarens’ business development programme
Network, identify and facilitate opportunities for business growth
Undertaking projects and other ad hoc work as required

Requirements

Professionally qualified or have gained significant experience in the CAR/ EAR / Construction Liability loss adjusting sector, or in allied professions
Demonstrate a focus on quality, communication and organisational skills
Proven, positive reputation in the construction insurance market
Experience in handling construction-related insurance claims is necessary
Proven capability to work autonomously
Expected to act as a leader and contribute to the learning and development of more junior members in the team
