About the Role
Provides very complex specialized services and support to the Fashion Design department, office, or program with no direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide support services during non class/open lab times for Fashion Design courses and programs, including instruction, lab setup, and lab safety.
- Communicate with instructors to monitor student attendance and participation during lab time.
- Serve as a communications liaison for Fashion Design courses and programs, providing information regarding course and program offerings.
- Assist students attending lab as needed to support student progress and comprehension of coursework.
- Maintain lab cleanliness and ensure all students are following the Code of Conduct specific to Fashion Design.
- Ensure all equipment is in running condition and is turned off at the end of lab sessions.
- Secure all student work in appropriate cabinets and spaces.
- Safely secure the classroom at the end of lab time.
Requirements
- Must maintain a domicile in the State of Texas while working for the college and throughout the duration of employment.
- Work safely and follow safety rules.

- Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
Skills
- Coursework in all areas of Fashion Design, with specific attention to construction of garments and pattern work.
