About the Role
This internship supports Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) Project Managers with tasks related to furniture and equipment management, including planning, procurement, and installation. Responsibilities
- Assist in furniture and equipment selection, specification, procurement, and warranty processes.
- Review and organize FF&E documentation, including specifications, drawings, and vendor quotes.
- Conduct inventory assessments and update FF&E records.
- Coordinate with vendors for product samples, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Assist in space planning and layout development using design software.
- Support project coordination efforts, including scheduling installations, developing punch lists, and tracking orders.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and budget analysis related to FF&E projects.
- Conduct field verifications, including measurements and photos.
- Create furniture plans for existing spaces.
- Collaborate with other interns and construction project managers on work.
Requirements
- Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodation, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Possess a basic understanding of Interior Design concepts, including space planning, material selection, and furniture specifications.
- Basic knowledge of reading architectural drawings.
- Understand the various stages of a design project, from conceptual development and schematic design to construction documentation and project execution.
- Strong interest in interior design and furniture trends.
- Excellent visual aesthetic and attention to detail.
- Ability to research and analyze product information.
- Maintain an established work schedule.
- Ability to work independently within departmental policies and guidelines.

Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software.
- Demonstrated proficiency with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop).
