About the Role
The Senior Relationship Manager will enable the company’s financial results by driving new relationships, loan fundings, deposits, PxV, and Commercial Card spend for companies with revenue between $25 million and $300 million. This role carries a portfolio of clients and sales production goals, and is accountable to deliver comprehensive financial solutions and best-in-class experiences to clients and prospects across a broad array of industries.
Responsibilities
- Actively build a strategic client acquisition pipeline to deepen and expand your portfolio and the Bank’s presence in the market.
- Cultivate a robust prospect list and drive increased market share/revenue through strong business development and networking.
- Ensure appropriate client coverage through disciplined calling efforts and understanding of client strategic and financial objectives.
- Identify and execute optimal client solutions, ensuring best-in-class client experiences.
- Deliver the whole bank through effective partner engagement to identify client opportunities and manage deals from inception to close.
- Actively pursue the latest information and build knowledge base related to financial/banking products, financial markets, relevant regulations, and business trends.
- Manage risk/return and drive quality for new and/or existing clients.
- Actively identify and mitigate different types of risk, such as regulatory, reputational, operational, and credit risks.
- Utilize reports, data, and systems to actively self-manage pipeline and sales production.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of commercial banking experience preferred.
- Prior experience in credit analysis and/or portfolio management with a focus on middle market and corporate clients.
- Advanced knowledge of banking suite of products and services, industry trends, and financial acumen to assess and deliver on prospect/client needs.
- Formal Credit Training (Commercial Credit Certification, or from another bank) or commensurate underwriting experience is critical for success.
- Self-starter and persistent, with a disposition to exceed calling metrics and production goals.
- Effective team player with the ability to work across business partner groups in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Operates with a sense of urgency balanced with adherence to the firm’s risk appetite.
- Exceptional writing, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to identify and solve problems/issues and timely escalation of known risks and issues.
- High interest in, outreach to, and involvement in the communities where we live and work.
