About the Role
The Information Systems department at RTE aims to perfectly align with business activities, needs, and evolutions to facilitate operational and management tasks. The Information and Telecommunications Systems Directorate (DSIT) is responsible for translating these needs into IT applications and telecommunication services. In the context of the energy transition and significant changes in the electrical system, critical tools need to be created, adapted, and evolve agilely. The Software Development department (DDL) develops and provides tools and services for RTE, GRTs, and RSCs to fulfill their missions. We are seeking a Software Developer to join the 'Network Studies' team within DDL, composed of expert developer engineers working on IT tools for network studies, modeling, and simulation. These products are crucial for defining future network investment needs, anticipating operational constraints, taking appropriate measures, and ensuring the real-time safety of the electrical system.
Responsibilities
- Develop complex algorithms or applications based on electrical network modeling.
- Propose new modules for the proper functioning of the electrical network.
- Participate in the development of open-source tools within the Linux Foundation (LFE).
- Maintain overall coherence and ensure developments are sustainable for long-term evolution, enabling rapid tool adaptation in the context of ecological transition and massive integration of renewables.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of DDL's best development practices.
- Contribute to the capitalization and creation of RTE's application assets (factorization, identification of common components, associated documentation).
- Work in a dynamic environment that fosters the development of dual RTE business/IT development expertise.
Requirements
- BAC+5 degree (engineering or university).
- Previous development experience.
- Knowledge of Java and open-source tools, including Open Rao.
- Knowledge of machine learning is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical or electrotechnical network modeling is a plus.
- Strong ability to work in a team.
- Autonomy.

- Good oral and written English level is desired.
