About the Role
Trepp is seeking individuals with strong programming backgrounds to join our Technology department. We offer a collaborative environment where technologists work closely with product experts and other team members, empowered to drive impact through leadership, creativity, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, source management, and testing.
- Ensure optimal user experiences by thinking like a user of our products, maintaining simplicity despite working with large datasets.
- Comfortably discover optimal solutions when given clear project goals and objectives.
- Consider performance engineering and performance within the Browser and API servers.
- Act as a technical leader when needed and context switch between projects in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of professional programming experience in full stack engineering, developing in JavaScript/Typescript, React, Node.js, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of various RESTful API patterns and their trade-offs.
- Uphold high engineering standards and bring consistency to codebases and processes.
- Fundamental understanding of modern testing practices in full stack applications, including unit, integration, and e2e tests.
- Strong documentation skills (Markdown, GitHub READMEs), ability to generate architecture design documents, and communicate requirements to team members and stakeholders.
- Work authorization that does not require future sponsorship of a visa.

- Base salary starting from $165k plus bonus eligible
