About the Role

BYD is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician to support and repair BYD vehicles roadside or at customer premises. This role is crucial for the company's growth and the transition to zero-emission transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and customer-focused support.
• Support BYD vehicles at customer premises.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including high voltage systems.
• Ensure repairs meet the highest standards.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess an electrical, mechanical, or automotive engineering qualification.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with minimal supervision.
• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Good understanding of UK vehicle legislation for M3 category vehicles.
• Understanding of FMEA and hazard analysis procedures.
• Proficient in computer use, including MS Office.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• UK driver's license required.
• Background knowledge of commercial/public service vehicles.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel.
