About the Role
The Principal Finance Officer will primarily support the year-end closedown and external audit processes, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical accounting knowledge and enhance collaboration skills with stakeholders and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the efficient and timely completion of tasks within the annual closing of accounts process, ensuring compliance with CIPFA Code of Practice and reporting standards.
- Support effective liaison with external and internal audit through the Head of Finance - Closedown.
- Complete statutory and other returns with clear workings, in line with statutory requirements, and liaise with government departments and agencies.
- Provide support to other areas of Finance as directed by senior finance personnel.
Requirements
- AAT qualified or equivalent work experience and training.
- Satisfactory employment references.
- Satisfactory declaration of interest.
- Satisfactory DBS check.
