About the Role
The End User Support Technician is responsible for directly supporting users in the NYC office, as well as indirectly supporting offices globally. This role involves troubleshooting end-user systems and applications, rolling out projects, and providing excellent customer service across a diverse technology stack.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer inquiries are handled promptly and effectively, with timely and satisfactory issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot end-user hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, both in-office and remote.
- Maintain and support telephony, conference room setups, and printers.
- Log all work clearly and consistently in the ticketing system, detailing steps taken and resolution.
- Maintain inventory and record-keeping of all applications and desktop hardware.
- Adhere to existing change control and documentation processes.
Requirements
- 1-2 years in a Microsoft-based end user support role preferred (internship experience counts).
- Experience supporting Microsoft technologies including Microsoft Office apps, Windows 10/11, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Collaborative team skills.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and mindset, with the ability to identify problems and suggest relevant resolutions.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, IP addresses) and common troubleshooting logic.
- Experience in automation, scripting languages, or basic PowerShell is a plus.
- Prior internships or experience in Finance, trading environments, or retail is a plus.
