About the Role

EXL is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join its fast-growing International Growth Markets business in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape marketing strategy at scale, with global team support and access to influential clients. You will focus on the UK market, contributing to the overall International Growth Markets strategy and owning marketing across Insurance and Banking industries. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking and execution, with accountability for brand recognition, lead generation, pipeline development, and account nurturing, aiming for double-digit year-on-year growth. Success depends on strong collaboration with senior stakeholders, sales teams, and account leads, as well as effective leadership within a matrixed structure. A minimum of 4 days in the office is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the overall IGM marketing strategy and support key X-IGM initiatives, leading on the development of key programmes.
  • Own and drive the UK marketing strategy for the Insurance and Banking industries, developing and delivering the marketing strategy for each vertical.
  • Build strong working relationships with senior executive stakeholders, sales teams and account leads, influencing and challenging to develop plans that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Take direct ownership of industry reputation, demand generation, pipeline growth, and priority account nurturing, aiming for double-digit year-on-year growth.
  • Coordinate a globally distributed team of specialists across campaign support, PR, brand, social media, analyst relations, partner marketing and CSRs / SDRs to execute with consistency and quality.
  • Ensure high standards across every channel and drive follow-through on actions that convert marketing activity into pipeline and revenue.
  • Measure and report on performance, using data to continuously refine programmes and demonstrate return on investment.
  • Actively contribute to the progress and development of the Growth Marketing function, bringing innovative ideas and integrating AI into marketing workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience with a track record of building strategies that drive measurable pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Strong background in AI-led, data-led, or similarly complex enterprise environments, with the ability to market sophisticated solutions to informed, senior buyers.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organisation, coordinating cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
  • Confident working alongside senior executive stakeholders, sales leaders, and account teams, with the ability to influence without authority and translate strategic alignment into action.
  • A balance of strategic thinking and delivery discipline, with the ability to set direction, stay organised across competing priorities, and follow through with precision.
  • Direct ownership experience across demand generation, pipeline development, and account-based marketing programmes, with the commercial acumen to connect activity to outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to measuring performance and optimising programmes.
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and in-person with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in one or more of our target industries (Insurance or Banking) is valued.
  • A background in consulting, professional services, or a data and AI-led organisation similar to EXL is a strong advantage.
