Staging, loading, and delivering building materials for WM. B Morse Lumber Co. as a Delivery Driver/Material Handler.

Drive, deliver, and unload products to construction sites, which may have uneven terrain.
Perform job site loading and unloading, primarily through manual hand unloading.
Deliver products locally within the Rochester Area, as well as to Buffalo, Syracuse, and Albany.
Conduct occasional out-of-state deliveries, which may include overnight stays.
Pick up customer returns from job sites.
Process delivery manifests and packing slips.
Pick, pull, and stage products using an RF scanner.
Follow specific work instructions and best practices for safe and accurate task completion.
Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to the Dispatcher and identify process improvements.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Assist in maintaining warehouse safety and conduct operations with a focus on safety.
Participate in assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines.
Develop and maintain excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
Select, put away, consolidate, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or by physically lifting products.
Assist with various warehouse maintenance tasks, such as sweeping floors and storing equipment.
Perform other assigned warehouse duties.

Must have held a valid driver's license for a minimum of 4 years.
Minimum of 2 years driving a 24-26 ft. box truck for deliveries.
1-2 years of warehouse experience.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to drive a 24-26 foot box truck for 8-10 hours a day.
Ability to maintain a medical certificate card for the NYDMV.
Ability to maintain a clean driving abstract.
Physically demanding job requiring the ability to stand and sit for the duration of the shift.
Ability to perform physical lifting up to 125 pounds frequently.
Experience driving for a warehouse/distribution center is preferred.
Ability to use basic hand tools and necessary equipment, such as a tape measure, ratchet straps, and saws.
Advanced math and reading skills for job tasks and paperwork.
Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-minded with a strong work ethic.
Must display a positive, helpful demeanor and a commitment to customer service.
High School Diploma/GED equivalent is preferred.
Possess a clean New York State Driver’s License (Non-CDL).
