About the Role
Small Door offers a membership-based veterinary care experience with human-centered standards, focusing on exceptional care, 24/7 telemedicine, and transparent pricing in modern, stress-free environments. We are expanding across the East Coast and are looking for dedicated nurses to join our supportive and collaborative network.
Responsibilities
- Triaging patients
- Recognizing medical emergencies and illnesses
- Assessing patients
- Recording vitals and assisting doctors with diagnostics
- Completing treatments as instructed by the doctor
- Providing basic husbandry and nursing care
- Monitoring patient changes and providing compassionate care
- Taking blood samples
- Placing catheters
- Assisting in and facilitating radiography capture
- Preparing samples for outside reference labs
- Running in-house laboratory tests
- Preparing medications
- Administering medications
- Maintaining a hospitable environment
Requirements
- Comfortable with computers and online tools
- Strong enough to lift 50 lbs
- A thoughtful and fearless team player
- A go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled at communicating with clients
- Passionate about pets
- Licensure in the state of New York is required
