About the Role

This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of an emerging industry and make a lasting impact on the future of energy storage. You will be responsible for the electrical design, control software development, and testing of our energy storage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support design of electrical systems and electronic assemblies.
  • Create electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and field wiring diagrams.
  • Support the design of control panels for 3-phase 400V systems and HV DC.
  • Specify and select electrical components including switchgear, protection devices.
  • Support software integration, debugging, software maintenance, and version management.
  • Develop testing specifications and commissioning procedures for systems.
  • Optimize firmware for maximum performance, reliability and efficiency.
  • Support build of systems, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Coordinate with I/O circuits for main controllers and safety systems.
  • Generate technical documentation and work activities.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in electrical, electronics, controls or automotive engineering.
  • Knowledge of micro-controllers and electrical system wiring.
  • Interest in computer science and software development, code in spare time.
  • Experience working with electrical and mechanical components.
  • Ability to work proactively with minimal support using a logical approach in an environment with minimal documented processes.
  • Must be self-motivated and an effective team player.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
