About the Role
This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of an emerging industry and make a lasting impact on the future of energy storage. You will be responsible for the electrical design, control software development, and testing of our energy storage systems.
Responsibilities
- Support design of electrical systems and electronic assemblies.
- Create electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and field wiring diagrams.
- Support the design of control panels for 3-phase 400V systems and HV DC.
- Specify and select electrical components including switchgear, protection devices.
- Support software integration, debugging, software maintenance, and version management.
- Develop testing specifications and commissioning procedures for systems.
- Optimize firmware for maximum performance, reliability and efficiency.
- Support build of systems, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate with I/O circuits for main controllers and safety systems.
- Generate technical documentation and work activities.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in electrical, electronics, controls or automotive engineering.
- Knowledge of micro-controllers and electrical system wiring.
- Interest in computer science and software development, code in spare time.
- Experience working with electrical and mechanical components.
- Ability to work proactively with minimal support using a logical approach in an environment with minimal documented processes.
- Must be self-motivated and an effective team player.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
