About the Role
ABRAMS, a leading publisher dedicated to art and illustrated books, is seeking a Comic Arts Social Media Intern for its Fall 2026 Internship Program. This unpaid internship, offered for academic credit only, provides hands-on experience in book publishing, digital marketing, and content creation within the graphic novel and manga space.
Responsibilities
- Designing social media graphics
- Filming and editing videos
- Tracking engagement
- Compiling influencer media lists
- Assisting with publicity mailings
- Updating marketing and publicity grids
- Supporting research, project work, and day-to-day tasks
- Contributing ideas and providing creative input on department projects
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Participating in workshops and discussions
- Receiving coaching, mentorship, and feedback
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited academic institution
- This internship is not open to recent graduates
- Passion for graphic novels, comics, and publishing
- Passion for social media and digital marketing
- Provide technical and creative support to the marketing and publicity team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be familiar with social media platforms and digital tools such as MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in videography and graphic design
- Be able to collaborate effectively and also work independently on projects
- Be receptive to feedback and able to meet deadlines
- Strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is highly preferred
