About the Role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing practical experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in an inclusive school environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals to provide high-quality support, enabling every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a member of a professional team to provide quality care and education that fosters children’s all-round development.
  • Provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for parents, carers, and families.
  • Promote the ethos of Kender Primary School.
  • Share responsibility for identifying personal professional development needs and undertake appropriate training.

  • Genuine interest in supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • Caring and approachable manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, organised, and willing to learn.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.

  • Willingness to provide personal care.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with parents and carers.
  • Must be a Lewisham borough resident.
  • Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
