About the Role

Fairmont Austin, a luxury property with 1,048 guestrooms and over 140,000 square feet of meeting space, is seeking passionate individuals to join their innovative hotel team. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment in a fast-growing market.

Responsibilities

Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
Assist guests with menu inquiries in an informative and helpful manner.
Possess full knowledge of beverage lists and menu items.
Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
Verify quality and accuracy of outgoing orders.
Adhere to outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food and beverages.
Complete daily assigned employee shift side work.
Double-check all VIP orders with the manager on duty.
Immediately communicate special guest needs to the manager on duty.
Manage In Room Dining order distribution and deliveries according to standards.
Assist with amenity delivery.
Coordinate the removal of In Room Dining equipment from guest rooms and public areas, sorting and storing condiments and equipment.
Maintain departmental requisitioned supplies, ensuring they are properly stored and organized.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous Point of Sale System experience preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Highly responsible and reliable.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
