About the Role
The Client Development Analyst will play a key role in transforming Osler’s ‘experience ecosystem’ by maintaining processes, systems, and tools to identify, create, manage, and disseminate transactional expertise. This role supports winning new business, establishing market expertise, and cross-selling.
Responsibilities
- Actively capture representative matters across Osler’s transactional practices (M&A, Capital Markets, Private Equity, Insolvency & Restructuring, Financial Services, Real Estate and Investment Funds, Infrastructure) by identifying matters for tracking and promotion.
- Draft matter descriptions for various applications and business development contexts, documenting permitted uses.
- Analyze matters for significance to Osler’s practices, market position, and client impact.
- Disseminate relevant representative matters for new business pitches, proposals, external digital marketing, awards and directory submissions, and internal publications.
- Support and improve the data governance framework for Osler’s ‘experience ecosystem’, managing data availability, usability, integrity, and security.
- Drive the adoption of firm-wide behaviors, processes, and tools for a successful experience management program.
- Engage with legal and business personnel to communicate the importance and benefits of rigorous experience capture.
- Participate as a stakeholder in the design and implementation of an enterprise technology solution for Experience Management and the firm website.
Requirements
- Two to four years of experience in an investment banking, investor relations, financial services, or other deal-making environment.
- Background in business law and/or law firm BD and marketing will be considered.
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline.
- Impeccable business/B2B communication skills (written and oral) for business development contexts.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be acceptable.
- Conditional upon background and reference checks, including criminal record check, credit check, and employment and educational verifications.

- Ability to keep current with market and competitive trends, challenges, goals, and relevant technology and marketing media.
- Ability to work independently, and manage and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
- Familiarity with experience management software such as Foundations is an asset.
- Experience with the latest AI tools and CRM integration points to marketing communications platforms is an asset.
