About the Role

Turner & Townsend is seeking Senior Consultants to manage the transition of data center projects from lease execution through construction mobilization. This role involves preconstruction management, project handover, and stakeholder management, with opportunities for early joiners to shape team standards.

Responsibilities

  • Absorb and package signed deals, completing handover checks against client requirements.
  • Co-lead project launch meetings onsite with the client project lead and track resulting actions.
  • Commission schedule and cost reviews, incorporate findings into the site baseline, and pursue resulting actions with the developer.
  • Drive all inherited open items to documented closure within the launch window.
  • Manage weekly project calls, design coordination, and developer interface through to mobilization.
  • Maintain the action log and produce milestone reporting inputs.
  • Manage day-to-day interface with the developer, client project lead, and internal specialists, maintaining progress against agreed dates.
  • Transfer each site to the onsite delivery team at mobilization, including baseline, open item register, and risks.
  • Contribute to the development of team handover checks, launch formats, and reporting standards, applying lessons learned.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities as applicable.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Data center experience preferred, in delivery, preconstruction, or development; mission critical and complex technical facility backgrounds will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of data center construction, including information and documentation required by a delivery team at mobilization.
  • Experience in project handover, preconstruction coordination, change control, and open item tracking.
  • Ability to interpret and act on schedule and cost reviews, and pursue resulting issues with a developer.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at different stages and secure information/commitments from parties not reporting to the role.
  • Ability to lead meetings with senior stakeholders and secure assigned actions with owners and dates.
  • Ability to work to a developing standard and contribute to its establishment.
  • Technical skills to read, understand, and communicate contract requirements including construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise reporting to senior client stakeholders.
  • Technologically proficient, including MS Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to understand and follow site HSSE policies.
