About the Role

Personal Touch Food Service is seeking a friendly and organized Cashier/Prep person to join their team at Lewiston-Porter Central Schools. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a positive school environment while supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Process student and staff transactions accurately at the school cafeteria or snack bar
• Handle cash with integrity and attention to detail
• Prepare food items, beverages, or supplies as needed, following safety and hygiene standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area and cashier station
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors
• Follow all safety protocols and school policies
• Assume other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager and Cook Manager

Requirements

• Highschool Diploma/GED required
• Customer Service Skills necessary
• Must possess basic math skills, ability to calculate production and recipes as needed for guest counts
• Must be able to work at a moderate to fast pace

Skills

• Previous experience in cashiering, food prep, or customer service preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills and familiarity with cash register systems
• Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
• Flexibility to work during school hours, including mornings and afternoons
