About the Role
Reporting to and deputizing for the Commercial Senior Finance Business Partner, this role is responsible for all Commercial Finance consolidation and reporting, providing value-added analytical insight to ensure robust execution of commercial plans. You will business partner the wider business to influence the accuracy and effectiveness of commercial reporting, driving forward the continuous development of reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Drive improvements and efficiencies into the commercial reporting environment with 1 direct report (Commercial Consolidation & Reporting Analyst).
- Own monthly reporting, financial performance reporting across IAG Cargo for Commercial and Sales & Marketing directorates.
- Present complex information in an accessible and meaningful way.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements via automation and standardisation and manage the implementation of any changes.
- Deliver reporting to track performance against Business Plans, Financial Plans, Reforecasts and Local Targets.
- Work closely with the Business teams, Cargo Revenue Accounting and GBS Order to Cash Teams to ensure appropriate management and collection of debt.
- Provide ‘well packaged’ comprehensive financial accounting, management accounting and reporting to the business.
- Adhere to all corporate, statutory and regulatory requirements including Group Standing Instructions, Group Financial Standing Instructions, Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards.

- Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) or equivalent.
- Have a good understanding of finance theory and practical experience in management accounting.
- Demonstrate business awareness and commercial acumen developed through finance knowledge and experience.
- Be numerate and accurate.
- Have good IT skills and experience of finance systems including: Excel, Essbase, Business Objects, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proven track record of effective business partnering of commercial-facing roles in fast moving business.
