About the Role
GrowthPoint is seeking an experienced investment banking professional to lead M&A, private placement, and strategic advisory engagements. This role involves driving financial analysis, managing deal processes, and mentoring junior team members within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day execution of M&A, private placement, valuation, and other strategic advisory engagements.
- Manage transaction processes, timelines, workstreams, and deliverables in coordination with senior bankers, clients, and external advisors.
- Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses, transaction analyses, and other quantitative work.
- Lead the preparation of pitch decks, confidential information presentations, management presentations, buyer and investor materials, and other client deliverables.
- Conduct and oversee industry, market sector, company, and transaction research.
- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, including interaction with clients, counterparties, legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors.
- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients throughout transaction execution.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to Analysts and Associates, including reviewing work product and supporting professional development.
- Support senior bankers in developing transaction strategy, positioning, valuation, and negotiation materials.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including identifying potential clients, transaction opportunities, buyers, investors, and strategic themes.
- Develop a strong understanding of client businesses, competitive landscapes, and relevant technology subsectors.
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy, responsiveness, judgment, and professionalism across all engagements.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree from a top-tier university preferred.
- Approximately 4 to 6 years of investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or highly relevant transaction experience, with prior investment banking experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience executing M&A, private placement, or other strategic advisory transactions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple transaction workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing and developing junior team members.
- Strong client presence with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of technology, finance, and capital markets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and improve the work product of junior team members.
- Resourcefulness, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a high level of personal accountability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of transaction execution from initial analysis through closing.
