About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Experience Design Engineer, AI Frameworks, to join the Applied Intelligence design team. This role is focused on building an AI design framework that scales across the Autodesk platform and creating standards, processes, and best practices to up-skill our design team.
Responsibilities
- Develop adaptive, context-aware UI components that scale across agentic workflows
- Architect and maintain a modular framework that supports personalized and agent-assisted user experiences
- Act as a liaison between the design team and stakeholders, including engineering, product managers, architects, and other cross-functional partners
- Establish scalable processes that speed delivery from prototype to deployable solutions
- Coach designers and troubleshoot their challenges as they become more proficient with AI-augmented development
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development
- Experience creating and maintaining reusable UI components and component libraries
- Demonstrated "must-have" experience using Claude Code, Gemini Code Assist, or equivalent LLM-based coding agents to deliver complex features
- Deep proficiency in React Hooks, state management (Zustand, Redux, or Context), and component-driven design
- Experience leading the architecture and development of large-scale web applications, including performance optimization, accessibility, responsive design, and modern UI engineering practices
- Proficiency in Software Development practices, including version control, testing, and debugging

Salary/Compensations
- For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $131,000 and $191,400.
