About the Role

Oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential group home for adults in recovery, providing leadership and supervision to residents and staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient house management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire day-to-day operation of a residential group home.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to residents.
  • Supervise Residential Recovery Counselors.
  • Ensure compliance with state and OASAS regulations and agency policies.
  • Model adherence to house rules, policies, and practices.
  • Manage budgets, funding, residents, and house money.
  • Write purchase orders.
  • Hire, train, and supervise residential recovery counselors.
  • Ensure quality delivery of services, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and health and safety check-ins.
  • Ensure all programming needs are met, including scheduling, staff development, and physical plant.
  • Maintain effective communication between program and agency staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between the agency and other treatment providers and social service agencies.
  • Monitor monthly progress reports.
  • Support the development and modification of treatment plans and goals.
  • Provide and coordinate supports and services, including individual and group support.
  • Address resident satisfaction and resolve complaint issues.
  • Conduct annual review of house rules and protocols.
  • Partner with the Registered Nurse/Health Coordinator to ensure healthcare delivery.
  • Coordinate post-discharge placement and connection to community supports.
  • Coordinate transportation services for residents.
  • Responsible for continuing education and training related to program operation.
  • Actively participate in meetings, committees, and Quality Improvement Initiatives.
  • Develop and ensure delivery of resident orientation.
  • Conduct urine drug screens and breathalyzers with residents.
  • Perform physical walkthroughs of the facility and report maintenance needs.
  • Support residents in acquiring daily living, community living, and work readiness skills.
  • Hold residents accountable to their recovery program.
  • Assist clients in applying de-escalation, problem-solving, and crisis resolution skills.
  • Complete written shift observational reports.
  • Respond to routine and/or emergency medical needs.
  • Maintain consistent contact with supervisor.
  • Coordinate monthly staff coverage calendar.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Member of the agency’s safety committee.

Requirements

  • Must be capable to move throughout work day.
  • Occasional lifting of > 25+ pounds.

Salary/Compensations

  • $65,000 annually
