About the Role

Talkspace is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruiting for technical functions, including Engineering, Data, Product, and AI/ML. This role involves sourcing, engaging, and closing candidates, partnering closely with hiring managers, and contributing to talent acquisition strategy and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for technical and specialized roles, from intake through closing the finalist candidate and handing them off to the People Team for onboarding.
  • Recruit across functions including Engineering, Data, Product, and other disciplines.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each role, the business need behind it, and the capabilities required for someone to be successful.
  • Develop and execute thoughtful sourcing strategies, with a strong focus on identifying and engaging passive talent.
  • Build relationships with candidates throughout the process and ensure a thoughtful, responsive, and positive candidate experience.
  • Serve as a strategic lead throughout the search, partnering with recruiting and People Team colleagues on administrative and coordination needs where appropriate.
  • Bring expertise in technical functions and the external talent market to help leaders calibrate role scope, leveling, candidate profiles, and hiring expectations.
  • Provide perspective on talent availability, competitive hiring dynamics, compensation, and the feasibility of different hiring strategies.
  • Challenge assumptions and make recommendations when a role, profile, level, or search strategy may need to change based on the market.
  • Use your understanding of the talent market and organizational needs to help inform broader workforce planning and organizational design.
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring leaders and serve as a thought partner throughout the hiring process.
  • Take a proactive, research-driven approach to identifying talent, particularly for difficult-to-fill and highly competitive roles.
  • Map relevant talent markets, companies, teams, and candidate pools to identify where strong candidates are likely to be found.
  • Develop creative approaches to engaging passive candidates and building relationships with talent before they are actively looking.
  • Experiment with new sourcing channels, tools, outreach strategies, and approaches to improve candidate quality and engagement.
  • Communicate directly with hiring leaders up to C-Suite as well as cross functional partners in other departments, including but not limited to People Operations, Legal, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Product, etc.
  • Serves as a strategic partner for executives.
  • Bring a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach to working with hiring teams and candidates.
  • Help create a recruiting environment that is thoughtful, high-performing, efficient, and scalable without losing the human element of recruiting.
  • Provide recruiting insights and recommendations to Talent Acquisition and senior leadership.
  • Use recruiting data and talent-market insights to improve candidate quality, sourcing effectiveness, hiring efficiency, and candidate experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how we attract, assess, and close talent.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency.
  • Experience recruiting for technical roles, including Engineering, Data, Product, and AI/ML.
  • Startup experience strongly preferred; comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Proven experience sourcing passive candidates and filling hard-to-fill technical roles.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers on intake, candidate profiles, sourcing strategy, timelines, and compensation.
  • Track record of meeting individual recruiting goals and managing a healthy recruiting funnel.
  • Experience using recruiting data and market feedback to adjust sourcing and hiring strategy.
