About the Role

The Dispatcher serves as the central communication point between customers and technicians, ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient service by accurately routing technicians to the correct locations at the requested times. This role requires maintaining composure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches service jobs to the technician’s board.
• Routs technician’s schedules.
• Calls customers with appointment times.
• Provides the highest level of service to the Customer.
• Professionally communicates the service needed to Customers and Technicians.
• Distributes calls to maximize company productivity while ensuring departmental fairness.
• Establishes follow-ups with the department for jobs requiring a return visit.
• Quickly and efficiently learns and utilizes dispatch software.
• Provides positive interactions with technicians and administrative staff.
• Provides backup when the Branch Manager is out of the office.
• Works rotational on-call as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of dispatching experience.
• Previous dispatching experience in the HVAC and/or food service industry is a plus.
• Detailed, dependable, and honest professional with the ability to type quickly and accurately.
• Proficient customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to multitask is a must.
• Must be motivated, a self-starter, and able to follow through on duties with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work rotational on-call as needed.
