About the Role
LMC Materials Testing LLC is hiring experienced ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I and ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector professionals to join our special inspections team in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Perform concrete field testing (slump, air content, temperature, cylinder sampling) per ACI/ASTM standards
- Conduct cast-in-place rebar placement inspections prior to concrete pour, verifying size, spacing, cover, and splice compliance with approved drawings
- Document findings and prepare NYC DOB-compliant special inspection reports
- Communicate with site superintendents, engineers, and DOB representatives on-site
- Support progress inspections through project completion
Requirements
- Active ACI Level I and Level II Concrete Field Testing Technician certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete inspection or testing in a construction environment.
- Strong understanding of concrete materials, testing procedures, and relevant ASTM and ACI standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites across the United States.
