About the Role
This role involves performing aircraft fueling operations safely and efficiently, ensuring correct fuel loading and balancing, and maintaining equipment. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions and must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, equipment care, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, according to training and best practices.
- Defuel aircraft as directed and in compliance with training standards.
- Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
- Safely drive and operate fuel tanker truck and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
- Maintain accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
- Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment.
- Maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
- Function well in a dynamic team environment.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with other team members to ensure operational success.
- Comply with attendance, uniform, and general company standards.
- Ensure personal and community workspace is well-maintained and clean.
- Perform additional responsibilities based on operational need.
- Work outside in all kinds of weather.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety at all times, including attention to detail and surroundings.
- Care for equipment, aircraft, and bags, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check.
- Successful completion of pre-employment process which may include drug screen, hearing and fueling specific color vision check.
- Available to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need.
- Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies.
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Able to perform a variety of physical activities including pushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to operate a computer to enter and retrieve data.
- Ability to utilize radio equipment for communications.
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis.
- Ability to pass all pre-screening clearances applicable to position qualifications.
