About the Role

Assist in providing child-centered environments that promote learning, character development, positive and nurturing relationships, and healthy living on-site at elementary school locations. Play a key role in ensuring participants have a safe, supportive, interactive, and enriching program experience while ensuring their safety and security.

Responsibilities

• Support the YMCA's commitment to child abuse prevention.
• Report any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members, or guests to your supervisor.
• Follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in facilities and programs, including monitoring and supervision.
• Report any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor.
• Complete all child abuse prevention training as required.

Requirements

• 17+ years old with relevant experience or coursework in childcare, education, or recreation.
• Strong communicator, enthusiastic leader, and passionate about youth development and equity.
• Meet responsibilities and qualifications required as outlined in job description.
